Biennial Show at DeCordova Museum

Last Saturday, I viewed the Biennial Show at DeCordova Museum. It was part of the agenda for our New England Wax meeting. You can read a review of this show in Artscope Magazine so I was familiar with the work before I arrived. The exterior sculpture park was very exciting to me, (see bottom of post). The Biennial, well, not so much. Below are a few pix from the show.

Erosion and spring repairs

 A visit to Newbury beach today was beautiful, but with
extreme erosion from the recent storms. Here is some of what we saw.
Talk about living on the edge. And you thought your flooded basement was a mess.

Obviously, these folks have been through this many times before.
But even their steel protective wall looks a little weary.

Inspiration from Plants of the Southwest

While I haven't been posting much, I have been busy in the studio. Photos will follow in a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, here are some absolutely lovely photos provided to me courtesy of the lovely Gail Haggard. She owns Plants of the Southwest in Santa Fe and is a very talented photographer. She has taken them over the years. I don't have IDs for the pix, but that's ok. They are some inspiration for spring to come soon.
